Typical dwelling in the historic center of Fasano with arches, star vaults in exposed tuff, plasterwork revealing frescoes that bear witness to the time that was. The challenge: to maintain the historic layout of the house and give it a modern touch without falling into the familiar.

Common thread of the project: books.

My heart opens: I, a passionate reader, an advocate of culture as the driving force behind my work, cannot be more gratified by such a request, and the work begins.

The client chooses 4 authors, one from each suite, and of each her favorite title. As I read the texts, I look through the pages for cues from the decor to translate to textures, prints, furniture pieces.

Extraordinary and intense work, but simple, because it belongs to me.
