My present as a textile designer is a natural consequence of 30 years as a textile research manager in the fashion houses Prada, Versace and Alaïa between Milan and Paris. Today, in my studio in Puglia, I reimagine the interior design of homes, offices, villas, farms, and apartments everywhere as if it were a collection of custom-made clothes, celebrating classic charm, refined prints, and modern color and texture combinations, inspired by nature and landscapes.
Tailor-made textile furniture like clothes
Don’t throw out old armchairs, vintage lamps, rustic chairs-they can become new furniture, restored and brought back to life with fabrics that come from fashion archives, mixed with other traditional ones from markets around the world, and customized to the customer’s needs. Laura Pogliani adopts an original and tailored approach in her work that comes from fashion: her know-how and taste confront the client’s style to design the most unexpected ideas.
